As you may have noticed by my posts, i m not really into old music...Some Handel, some Vivaldi, lately i ve fallen for Jaroussky's voice but that's all. So i was not really expecting what i saw/heard/felt on the 12 of July of 2006 when Les Paladins premiered in Athens! (These were 2 reaaaaly happy days of my life as the next night i would watch at the Odeon of Herodes Atticus my beloved Diana Krall).
The following recording is of the Opening Night, in excellent sound! It s highly recommended for downloading...
