Genia Kuehmeier, a bright, bright star.

We were waiting for her earlier this year when she was supposed to appear in Haydn's Creation with Les Arts Florissants under the baton of William Christie...Unfortunately she got indisposed and she didn't...

A few months later, Genia was finally in Athens with the WDR Sinfonieorchester Koeln under the baton of Semyon Bychkov! The 2 concerts they gave on the 6th and 7th of October were a triumph (even though they didn't sell tickets). Mozart's 40th, 6 Strauss Lieder and Rachmaninov's Symphonic Dances (Op.45).

A magnificent orchestra, a great stellar maestro, a beautiful, expressive, sensational soprano...

Listen to Genia Kuhmeier singing the 6 Strauss lieder HERE

Athens, October the 8th, Megaron, the Athens Concert Hall
Excellent, excellent sound!!
