Languir per una bella!

The 4 upcoming performances of "L'Italiana in Algeri" in Athens are almost sold out (in just 48 hours), and Parsi has got his tickets for 2 of them (i' m an animal, one is never enough).
The Jean Pierre Ponnelle production is carrying 20 years on it's shoulders but it's the first time that the greeks will have the chance to watch it live and it has never been comercially available on dvd!

But as always Parsi has got da material!

Watch, from
parsifal's archive dungeons this in-house video of the finale primo, with Agnes Baltsa, Juan Diego Florez, Enzo Dara etc.
You have been warned that you may get dizzy.

Mustafa: Lorenzo Regazzo
Lindoro: Mario Zeffiri
Taddeo: Renato Girolami
Elvira: Vassiliki Karayanni

The Athens State Orchestra

As I'll be in Athens the 12-16 I hope there are some seats left. I saw this production at the Met when it priemered back in 1973 with Horne, Alva and Corena. It is such a delightful production, its wonderful that it, if not the talented Ponnelle, is still around.
