Juan Diego Florez and Diana Damrau (and Zeljko Lucic of course) sang their Rigoletto dress rehearsal tonight in Dresden (and i 've already heard some parts of it) but i don't really care since it seems that:
a) Juan Diego only "marked" during the dress rehearsal and didn't really sing...
b) I'm half drunk and i have to make my suitcase as in 4.30 hours (it's 3.20 am now) i have to catch my boat to the Cyclades (don't ask where the Cyclades are, you 'll be eternally damned).
Well, yeaaah, i decided to leave Athens for some days and tour some islands (there is always this very specific island in the middle of the Aegean, called Mykonos...and this other island called Tinos, google them or flickr them, you'll be amazed by their beauty).
Turn off your mp3 players during weekend, read some great book, meet new people and forget that opera ever existed (it's a mission impossible for me, i mean the last one, but i 'll give it a try).

You know, Parsi, Mykono's sunset and sipping nescafé frappé, at the same time, are those things yo must do at least once...
Once a month? Once a year? Once in a lifetime? I quit nescafe frappe a long time ago, i get really nervous and sing Nessun Dorma a-la-Farina in the middle of the street (at least i say the consonants). You seem very Mykonos-literate Mei, tell us your experience (you have 3 hours to do it before i leave).

Since this is after you left i can only wish for your mini-holiday to be a wonderful one! And one should always join the things one loves, whenever possible... i recently had a wonderful 1 day break in a tiny tiny Heidi-like corner of the Alps and there was nothing more amazing then listen and talk about music in that corner of heaven ;-)
Have fun and bring the sounds and smells of the Greek sea with you for me, please? I miss them tremendously! :-)
have a great trip ... stay sober and.. wait a minute one of those things cancels out the other doesn't it? Enjoy caro! And we want a recording of the Parsi' Nessun Dorma!
I stayed sober indeed Will!!! If by sober you mean having drunk 2 strawberry daquiris, 1 mojito and a couple of beers by sunset!
Oh, well, parsi...it could have been worse..very much worse ;)

Well, the next time is really close, on the 4th of July i'll back but this time avec l'amour et avec mes amis....
How wonderful!!!! Umm para mi el 4 tambien es especial, ay las ansiasssss...el 4 vere y escuchare a JK cantando sobre el amor y una flor.... que llegue yaaa!!!!!!!!! Pena que Zurich no es ni de lejos tan bonito como Mikonos ;-)
