The evening of the Verdi Requiem I got talking with one of the video techies from EMI - big horsey British type - and he was saying he had done the video work for Madame Butterfly here in the summer. He couldn't remember the singers' names but the Butterfly was a not half-bad looking Eastern European bird and the guy was some unshaven curly headed bloke. That told me everything.
