Karita Mattila in Athens

"Sensational!"

"Magic!"

"Brought tears to my eyes!"

Just a few of the comments I received from friends who attended the concert of the BBC Symphony Orchestra under Jiří Bělohlávek.

No doubt that Karita Mattila, who sang Strauss' Four Last Song, was the star of the night
and received a tremendous ovation.

Feel free to share your experience and leave a comment.

I couldn't agree more! A truly beautiful and moving experience to have been there.

thanks for writting about the show
I have no idea how it sounded like to the audience but it was a real honour playing for her.We also played in paris before and she was stunning there too. Hope I'll get the chance to accompany her again at some point

Beautiful voice but in a dreadful dress and summer shoes; no taste at all!
