A very dear reader let me know that,
Marcella Sembrich made her debut in opera in Athens as Elvira in Bellini's I Puritani on June 3, 1877. She not only sang Puritani, but also Dinorah, Lucia di Lammermoor, Robert le Diable and La Sonnambula!
Also, Giuseppe Anselmi, who probably made his operatic debut in Athens in 1896 or in Patras as Turiddu, sang Arturo in Patras in 1896.

δεν ήξερα ότι είχε λυρικό θέατρο και η Πάτρα.
Το φάντασμα της Νορμα, του Νικου Μπακουνάκη, βρες το...διαβασε το...παιδικο μου ανάγνωσμα. Τελειο βιβλιο για τους θιασους ιταλικου μελοδράματος στην Ελλαδα του προηγουμενου αιώνα κ των αρχων του 20ου..
