Dimos Flemotomos wins Francesc Viñas


Greek tenor Dimitrios (Dimos) Flemotomos, after the 3 Prizes he received at this year's Operalia, won tonight, 15th of January, at the Gran Teatre del Liceu de Barcelona, the 3rd Prize of the Concurso "Francesc Viñas".


Other Prizes went to: 1st, Sunyoung Seo, soprano (Korea)- 2nd.- Dinara Alieva. soprano (Rusia) 3st.- Vera Chekanova (Rusia), soprano.
1st.- Russell Thomas, tenor (USA) - 2nd.- Teodor Ilincj, tenor (Romania).

This afternoon we heard live Dimitrios Flemotomos from the Liceu,and I think he has a great future, especially now that the world of opera there are so few good tenors.

Just come back home from the final concert of Francesc Viñas contest.Very good level this year.Particularly we have to speak of Russell Thomas(amazing baritenore voice),Sunyoug Seo(wonderful tone),Dinara Alieva and Dimos Flemotomos(very moving acount of "Oh Paradis" and "No puede ser").
