The countess is singing a song at that point that it's not actually Tchaikovsky's. Tchaikovsky took it grom Grétry's opera "Richard Coeur-de-lion" and it is sung in french. The song is reprised twice in the chunk I uploaded. The rest is sung in russian. The full performance of this Pikovaya Dama is available on video.
