L'amour est un oiseau (très) cher

Guess which is the hottest ticket
of the Season.

With prices going up to 1.300 euros per ticket on eBay,
the run of Carmen at the Wiener Staatsoper in May '10
is definitely hawt hawt hawt
.

I have the impression that it will be the equal of the ROH Barbiere in terms of the star cast! I mean it's Elina, Massimo, Anna and Ildebrando, and on top of that Maris Jansons is conducting!

let's hope they don't put Ilde on a horse :-p And you know very well who is missing for it to be a truly starry cast for Carmen :-p

Nobody 's missing!!!!!!!! they're all there!!!!!!!! (hopefully)

Can we persuade "you know very well who's missing" to sing Carmen again now that she looks so much younger - she's wasted as Klytemnestra in Toulouse ...

:))

Agnes as Carmen??? at that age??? well, Elina could use some of her fire for sure, but I think that Hariclea's comment refers to Jonas.

yes to both ;-) when i saw Elina in ROH all i kept thinking back to was that video of Agnes. Or the video with ACA to quote a more recent one, vocally Elina is great but characterisation wise still a long long way to go for me. And there is indeed no dream Carmen without a dream Don Jose :-p But also a dream DJ alone does not a dream Carmen make;-) Your dream is definitely one traveling for in any case and i'll want to hear ALL about it!! Music, gossip and all :-)))
