Nicola Beller Carbone, de profundis

"K" magazine that comes with the Sunday Edition of the greek newspaper Kathimerini featured a very interesting interview of Nicola Beller Carbone that the german-spanish soprano gave to Sotiris Kakisis during her visit in Athens for a run of Toscas in March/April.

"In Spain, during the 80´s, just after the dictatorship, everything was crazy and unpredictable. I was living in Madrid then and my house got bombed by the ETA while i was sleeping, the window that was just above my bed was shuttered. I lived all this period that one can see in the Pedro Almodóvar movies. It was like a post-dated 60's. I ´ve lived a lot in my life and i don't need these things any more. Sex, drugs and rock'n'roll !"

Nicola Beller Carbone's future plans include among others, singing Marie (Wozzeck) in Graz, the role of Eleonore in Ernst Krenek's "Karl V" in Bregenz,
Tosca in Nantes, Salome in Genéve and Gutrune in Robert Carsen´s production of Göttedämmerung in Venice.
