What you should also know is that this wasn't a particularly good night for Kathy Battle as she got booed....not because of her singing but because of her reacting:
It seems that there were people in the Theatro Municipal do Rio taking pics of her and while she was singing she started gesturing and making faces of disapproval...And the cariocas where not that happy about it...
But everything was forgotten till the end of the concert where Kathy received a standing ovation (those cariocas are soooo generous...)
