The "Best Orchestra in the World",
Daniel Harding,
and Lang Lang
amazed the athenians for a second night in a row,
with Chopin's Piano Concerto No.2 Op.21 and Brahms' Symphony No.2, Op.73.
A tremendous ovation for Lang ² after his breathtaking take of Chopin's beautiful concerto led to a treat by Lang² for his greek fans: Liszt's Liebestraum No.3 who left many of us in tears.
Unfortunately even if 99% of the audience wouldn't even breathe during the performance (I mean really! no cell phones, no whispering, no zips opening/closing, no watch alarms), an 1% of over 80 y.o. consumptives spoilt the magic for the rest.
A tuberculosis detector at the entrance of the Concert Halls wouldn't sound like a bad idea...

He is just GREAT!!!! I've only heard him once, but will never forget it. I'm glad you had a wonderful time :-)
Besos
(And when you invent that tuberculosis detector just let me know: we need some of those here in Spain too!)
Μεγάλη κουβέντα "the best orchestra in thw world"! Έχω δει και εγω αρκετά ranking και η συγκεκριμένη τα τελευταία 10-15 χρόνια φιγουράρει σταθερά πράτη. Ωστόσο την Τετάρτη, imho δεν το επιβεβαίωσε.
