"The award-winning soprano Ana María Martínez was nearing the end of the first act of Antonín Dvorak’s Rusalka at the annual Glyndebourne Festival in East Sussex when she pulled away from her dashing prince in dramatic style.
Her feet became entangled in the stage scenery and the audience watched in horror as she battled to stay upright for a few agonising moments before plunging backwards onto the orchestra’s string section."
