Greek pride

Tassis Christoyannis, Mary-Ellen Nesi, Irini Karaianni and Petros Magoulas
holding the Echo Klassik Award they won for
Best 17th/18th Century Opera Recording
.

Missing from the photo: maestro George Petrou,
countertenor Nicholas Spanos, soprano Mata Katsuli
.

Kudos to all!

Watch Tassis Christoyannis as Ford -Live in Glyndebourne, 2009

And listen to Tassis as Rodrigue in Verdi's Don Carlos (in french)
"C'est mon jour supreme" - Duisburg June 2009

ps. The Petrou Team, including Nesi, Christoyannis, Magoulas, Karaianni but also Kristina Hammarstrom as Cesare, Emanuela Galli as Cleopatra, Romina Basso as Tolemeo and countertenor Nikos Spanatis, have just finished the recording of a brand new Giulio Cesare for the same label (MDG).

Smells like more awards to me...
