Papageno is an animal, right?

The other day (mmm....night actually), I was having a chat with Susan AKA Luindriel during which she was training me for an interview I would have the day after.....

3:22am Parsi

I have a job interview tomorrow and I should be studying the 15 pages I printed off the web regarding the company....

3:22am Susan

nah, they're not gonna ask you about that:

"where do you see yourself in 5 years?"

3:23am Parsi

At La Scala, watching Juan Diego Florez.

3:23am Susan

and where do you see yourself in 10 years?

3:23am Parsi

at the Met watching Renee's Farewell performance?

3:24am Susan

and if you could be any animal, what would you be?

3:24am Parsi

Papageno is an animal, right?

3:24am Susan

and, describe a conflict with a coworker, and how you resolved it
and,

what's your worst quality

3:24am Parsi

A conflict...
well... A co-worker said Juan Diego Florez sucks and he sings like a parrot and I just decapitated him as if he were Anna Bolena

3:25am Susan

excellent

3:25am Parsi

My worst quality is that sometimes I boo people...
And i yell crazy stuff in italian like VERGOGNA!!! VA VIAAAA!!! BOOOOOOO!!!!

3:26am Susan

and, if you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be
only name 1 bad quality

3:26am Parsi

The fact that I even like Schönberg, Alban Berg and modern opera!!! It's insanity!

Am i hired you Human Resources b*tch?

Well, the funny thing is that the next day I got hired...

Congratulations ! With your new job, maybe you can be at La Scala seeing Juan Diego in 5 years...if you can get a ticket !!!

Well, La Scala was an easy task even before... There were other harder, for example a full August in Baureuth, Pesaro, Edinburgh etc.

ps. The real HR b*tch asked me who my favourite composer is.....And guess what did I answer...!

Congratulations! Did you ask for the 10-12 of December off? Does this mean you are no longer Le Fil de Régiment?

Your favorite composer: Why Alfred Schnittke, of course!

BRAVO!!! πολύ χαίρομαι που όλα πήγαν καλά. Άντε και καλλιτεχνικός διευθυντής στην Λυρική σου εύχομαι (ούπς αυτό μάλλον δεν είναι ευχή...).

Well, what can I say....the new job is...strange. But I might get to like it with time, i think, if I get into the essence of it...

And when asked about my favourite composer I said Wagner. Schnitke would be too much, Will, and Verdi would be too obvious. Hehehehe.

ps. The job has nothing to do with art and music whatsoever...It has to do with big ships, crude oil and lots of money...hohoho

OH! WILL! I Checked and the OTELLO in Rome is on a Thursday! COME ON!!! ITS NOT FAIR!!!!

Hariclea said...

yep, working life stinks! it restricts fun and music to the weekend and that is incredibly tough sometimes..take it from the professional in such sufferings ;-)

So you take the Wednesday - Thursday and Friday off - a sick Uncle in Rome.... sorry but that's my subscription night and exchanges are next to impossible. Work on it.....
